Running down the nomination list in Best New Blog, I couldn’t find any names that really jumped out at me until I saw this blog.

I click and I see… AWACs! So awesome!

I grew up near NAS Jax and my dad was the radioman /sonabouy tech for P3′s and I’d see them daily flying over the house. The flight patterns and schedules were so predictable that I would stop my car when an AWAC or C130 flew over. The 130s always seemed to me as big, lumbering pelicans.
