I have to say that these young men and boys were all true heros. My farther was a command pilot in the Army Air Corp during WW2 in Alaska and to follow traddition I was a HU-16 aircraft commander in the USCG during the late 60s and early 70s. I have a hard time imagining what it must have been like for those crews to fly the missions with the aircraft and equipment of that era. Certainly not like what I had and that would be considered primitive by todays standards. This is a fantastic read. I have to say that these young men and boys were all true heros.
