Looking for Homarus Americanus
(OK, confess — how many of you knew of homarus americanus without having to Google it?)
Seems many these days are going EMCON Alfa (or Bravo as the case may be) whilst off in various and sundry pursuits. YHS intends to join the late summer sojourns and show some parts of the country heretofore unseen by the Mrs Scribe and assorted scriblets. However, we shan’t be shutting the lights off and shuttering the windows. An assistant has been engaged forwith to periodically post over the coming days. One should note that since he is an apprentice, and mindful of the last time an apprentice was given free reign of the AOR, this one has been proscribed from responding to comments, so feel free to whale away — just don’t expect an answer for a fortnight or less…
In the meantime, allow us to properly introduce homarus americanus…
Happy Trails y’all…
I’ll still be cranking them out..albeit with a repeating thing. I’m pretty sure the words Korea …..and …..sucks will be used a lot.
Then again, maybe they will cancel the damn thing as a good will gesture to the Jonger. It’s got my vote!
Bon voyage to the family YHS…please have fun..stay safe…and forget your cares! 🙂
Veritas et Fidelis Semper
P.S “…so feel free to whale away…”? Is that a good idea? 😯
Have a great vacation, SJS. You’re going to one of the most beautiful parts of America…bar none. (And I knew what homarus americanus was without googling it. You just can’t go to Maine and NOT indulge. Often.)
Just as an aside, Son Number Two is somewhere in that pic of the USS Mason launch. He was the CHENG on Mason and was part of the pre-comm crew. He still owns a house in Brunswick, even though he’s on his third assignment post-Mason.
