Canoe U. wins in South Bend, wow!
The greatest Navy win in my lifetime! Congratulations, Navy! 🙂
Ah, that game pretty much ruined my whole weekend, it did. But if Canoe U was ever gonna beat the Irish, this was the year. ND has never fielded a football team worse than this year’s edition. Ever. All y’all can celebrate, and it’s a good thing (for you) the 43-year losing streak is over. I’m sure ol Roger S. is celebrating!
Maybe because I don’t see a level playing field ever returning for the academies the way it was through the early 60s, when I see one beat a team like ND who clearly outranks them in weight/talent on the field, it does my heart good. Doubly so when I see a IAA team do so (like App State v Michigan or Citadel v Arkansas). ND had all the advantages save one yesterday – they didn’t have heart. Navy wanted the win and played over their heads to take the prize.
